ZEN SOUND Brainwave Entrainment Selection for everyday relaxation

The Neuro-Programmer uses sound and light to directly affect the brain through a complex neural process called Brainwave Entrainment. Brainwave Entrainment (pronounced: “ehn – TRAIN – mint”) refers to the brain’s electrical response to rhythmic sensory stimulation, such as pulses of sound or light.

What is brainwave entrainment?

When the brain is given a stimulus, through the ears, eyes or other senses, it emits an electrical charge in response, called a Cortical Evoked Response. These electrical responses travel throughout the brain to become what you “see and hear.” This activity can be measured using sensitive electrodes attached to the scalp.

The human brain is a network of approximately one hundred billion neurons. Different experiences create different neural connections which bring about different emotions. And depending on which neurons get stimulated, certain connections become stronger and more efficient, while others may become weaker. This is what’s called neuroplasticity.

Someone who trains to be a musician will create stronger neural connections that link the two hemispheres of the brain in order to be musically creative. Eventually every sort of skill or talent can be created.

The human brain is a complex entity constantly at work, sending electrical signals, communicating, building new neural connections and so on. This electrical activity generated by the brain, also known as brainwaves, reflect our state of mind. Reality is not based on outside influences but is an internal process based on our thoughts, perception and emotions.

If we deepen our understanding of these brainwave frequencies, we can better understand our reality.

Brainwaves are the result of the brain’s electrical activity. Our brains emit continuously in various frequency bands from sleep to full wakefulness. All the sounds we hear every day emit a specific frequency (eg cars, birds, water flow) and generate an electrical response in the brain. When we hear a sound for some time our brain is tuned to it.

When we are speak about meditation with gong or singing bowls, we are talking about directly influencing vibratory properties of the brain conveying the term neuroplasticity, rewriting of the brain. Therefor, the result is an offering of a different perception, rest is up to you; repeating the experience will reinforce those neural connections, allowing you to be the change you wish to see.
